West Sussex House
This house, located in a desirable village near Brighton, is a charming and complex historic building that has been added to at many times over its three hundred-or-so year history. Our work sensitively modernised the house to make it suitable for a busy family.

The comprehensive refurbishment was carried out in three phases: loft conversion to turn a storage area into a family media room; a new kitchen-dining area including the enclosure of an inner courtyard; and the replacement of the main staircase, redecoration of the bedrooms and installation of new bathrooms. Each phase involved a mixture of conservation and repair as well as new construction, including a rearrangement of the ground floor and construction of a covered courtyard to create a central kitchen at the heart of the house.
