A chalet in Switzerland's Alpes Vaudoises. Externally it fits with its ski resort surroundings, and then internally the chalet is held together by the crisp detailing and warmth of a simple palette of rough plaster, natural larch joinery and green slate.
A key feature of Chalet Inuksuk was our close working with a local firm of master joiners, who also made specially designed pieces of loose furniture for the project. The extensive use of modern detailing in larch was a first for this resort and has subsequently been much copied.
